After seeing all the inspiring photos of the snow and the cold winter I became a little jealous of those who have the opportunity to take those pictures. The only kind of winter we get in the Northern California valley is a cold, cold rain. However, there has been a major lack of that lately and a lot more sun. So I wanted to get outside today to photograph sunny California!
As you can see even the state flower, the poppy, is in bloom. It will be sad if we get a late freeze and cold rain and all the flowers die, but it’s highly needed. If we don’t get it I am afraid this is going to be a really hot summer and everything that normally turns a bright green for a couple of months will be brown. Then I will have lost the late spring season too. I think it’s just going to be one of those years. Such a bummer. For now I can enjoy the flowers while they last!
